Yes, rentals are allowed at Sunset Meadows without prior approval from the Board.
Community Rules & Guidelines
Homeowners are responsible for ensuring their tenants comply with the Association rules and guidelines. Please see the Governing Documents section for more information.
Any compliance violation notices will be sent to both the tenant and homeowner. It is the homeowner's responsibility to ensure applicable fines are paid.
Homeowners may impose stricter rules on their tenant if they wish (e.g., prohibiting pets in the unit). However, it is not the Board's responsibility to enforce those additional rules.
Communication
Community updates and announcements (e.g., scheduled maintenance, security concerns, pool updates, community events, etc.) will always be sent to homeowners, regardless of whether they rent out their unit. You are welcome to provide us with your tenant's contact information if you would like them to be included on community updates and announcements.
If you do not provide your tenant's contact information, please ensure they stay informed about relevant announcements.
Keys
Please provide your tenant with a copy of the pool key, dumpster/recycling keys, and mailbox keys. There is a $25 fee for all replacement keys, and the Board of Directors cannot provide replacements or copies to a tenant without the owners consent. Mailbox replacement keys are managed by the US Postal Service.
